Strengthscape is a team of education and inclusion experts led by Dr Tahnee West.

Dr West is a qualified teacher, academic, researcher, and education consultant with extensive experience in educational leadership, curriculum design, professional learning, coaching, mentoring and program evaluation. She lectures, coordinates, and develops learning experiences at Curtin University and has worked across schools, higher education, government, STEM, and corporate contexts.

Her research and professional expertise spans:

• diverse, equitable and inclusive education and training;

• inclusive leadership and organisational practice;

• mentoring and coaching;

• gender equity and inclusion;

• STEM engagement and participation among minoritised groups;

• cultural diversity and inclusion; and

• program evaluation and impact measurement.

Dr West brings a research-informed and practical approach to her work, combining expertise in research design, mixed-methods evaluation, survey development, program design and evidence-informed practice. She has developed and evaluated mentoring and education programs and has created an evidence-informed evaluation framework to help organisations strengthen and measure programs and outcomes.

With international consulting experience, Dr West has supported leaders and organisations across sectors, including advising US Senators and global organisations on issues relating to education, inclusion, gender equity and STEM participation.

She has also been recognised for her research and contributions to education, including receiving the WAIER-Fogarty Postgraduate Research Prize while undertaking her PhD studies.

Dr West is particularly interested in helping organisations move beyond good intentions towards practical, measurable and sustainable change. Her approach brings together academic evidence, organisational context and the experiences of the people affected by policies and practices.

Hailing from regional Western Australia, Dr West brings a strong understanding of the educational and professional challenges experienced outside metropolitan centres. Her own experience of neurodivergence also informs her commitment to creating more inclusive environments in which people with diverse ways of thinking, learning and working can participate and thrive.
